I desparately needed my hair DID! CHILE! You hear me? Oh, the grey, the grey …the premature grey! What makes it grey you ask?
Family tree and all like that. But any way…let me tell you about my new MAKEOVER FROM QUEEN OF THE WINK! I was trying to contact my hair dresser and I finally found her! Lordy! I prayed she would be available because I needed a hair rescue!!
My hair was so grey and over chemicaled from hair spray….I was so embarressed. But everyone in the salon was so nice, that I had to finally relax!
Wow! I am truly happy to have gone there! Everyone is telling me how great I look!
I will feel great everyday when I can hide my old grey hair and come out into the sunshine with this great head of weave.
No, I am not embarressed at all!

The owner of the shop is called QUEEN….I began to look around the shop and it was very very beautiful!
It has an Arabian Nights Look!

THE ceiling has triple large broad cloth black and burgandy alternate cloths connected giving the ceiling the look of a very large tent! The walls are burgandy too…some type of marbled effect. Looks very expensive! But it makes you feel like you have really entered a whole different era or world!!!!
Two very large luxurious couches with gold accents, the oh, so soft pin cushion pillows placed on them at the entrance to the salon. There are white columns about 3 1/2 feet tall and taller that hold imitation large floral arrangements.
The mirrors are gigantic 16th century look….You know the looking glass type that are 5 feet plus tall! You have seen those mirrors in some pricey stores with the carved beviled wooden frames right? I told you this salon is stellar!!!!
But realize the hair workin’ go’in on in that place is STELLAR TOO!!! My hair stylist picked the right place to go and set up shop!
WOWOWOWOWO!!!!! I am telling you ….if you want a great look….get to QUEEN OF THE WINK! QUEEN OF THE WINK!! IS THE LOOK!

The floor is a great wood plank and has the name of the shop professionally printed on it.
I felt so honored by the desplay of respect given to each customer. The Queen, the owner herself addressed each customer throughout the day. She was very positive with me.
She also asked to hang everyone’s coat! What a nice feeling! The Queen was very caring about her clients and her staff!
I felt comfortable! Which is very rare for me! I am always self concious in hair salons! You know what I mean right?
Buy I had found my hair stylists who had moved from another location and told me that she could be found in Queen of the Wink! I am so happy about my hair stylists move! What a great place! Fabulous!!!!
Hair Weave Process:
- HAIR IS WASHED AND CONDITIONED
- HAIR IS BRAIDED DOWN(((CORN ROWED FLAT TO HEAD AS AN ANCHOR)))
- HAIR HAS A NET THAT IS PLACED ON IT BY A SEWING TECHNQUE
- HAIR HAS WEAVE WOVEN TO HEAD
- HAIR WEAVE IS SHAPED AND DESIGNED TO A STYLE
- HAIR WEAVE IS THEN FLAT IRONED OR CURLED TO DESIRED STYLE
- MINIMAL SPRAY IS USED FOR SHINE AND HOLD
Hair weaving has been done for centuries….I wish I had done it before.
Take a look into it for those of you challenged by hair thinning or severe premature grey like mine.

Queen of Wink Salon is a wanna be Spa- The salon is loud, unprofessional and tacky!! If someone says its a 5 star and looks like 5th Ave then they need to go to a 5 star & 5th Ave to learn what style is…Its not that horrible tacky wacky salon that has clients wait 3-4 hours for service.
Queen needs a refresher course on professionalism & manners. Stop playing loud music w profanity especially when children are present- its unacceptable. Yelling while someone’s in your chair is not queen like!! I could go on & on but if you want to experience the tacky typical hood salon then you have it on hillside. Atleast its clean!
I totally agree with you. The service was unprofessional. There was too much profanity and loud music. I went one time and it will be my last time.
Ok, that was like five or six years ago to I have not been there in a long time. When I went there was my nice hair dresser…and when she left I left. She lived in Westbury and I followed her to her next location. So sorry about that bad experience.
