1st Sunday with Ice Cube…and Tracey Morgan—2008 Ralph and Norton Duo!!!

UNIVERSE AND WEAVE IN HARMONY

UNIVERSE AND WEAVE IN HARMONY

I like to watch a good comedy.  I was shocked!

Truly shocked.

Tracey Morgan plays a “not so bright”  crime challenged man,  and his counter part…Ice Cube is just as crime challenged as Tracey Morgan.

HOwever,  things work out in the end …in some type of fairy Tale ending.  They start out to rob the church,  situations get out of hand and circumstances change it all around and they end up saving the day for the Church they planned to rob.  Silly uh?

Also Cube’s baby Mama gets the money she needed– which keeps her from moving ‘DOWN SOUTH’ to her grandmother’s house.

So Cube gets to keep contact in with his son.

The church does not have to move out of the neigborhood they love and all is right with the world again~~~~~

….But as I said….it was an interesting combination of Tracey as comedian…and Cube a hard core…angry straight man.

The funniest part of the movie was when they (Cube and Tracey) were sitting in the church during communion and then they ate the “crackers  for communion”  and then they drank…not sissped…drank several cups of communion wine.

Tracey explained that he had never been in a church service before (except for a baptism for which he could not participate because he could not swim.

–so he never went back to church again)….so Tracey asks for CHEESE WIZ for the communion crackers.

…such blasphemy!!!!

Oh, my goodness…my mother was laughing so hard….!

So go rent this silly movie!  It might even make you cry at one part.

Good Job Cube…stay away from those “”””ARE WE THERE YET??? “MOVIES—SEEK OUT SOMETHING WITH A PARTNER LIKE  TRACEY—-GOOD STRAIGHT MEN AND COMEDY SIDEKICKS NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE!

TILL NEXT MOVIE REVIEW~~~

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM….REFLECTIONS ON WENDY WILLIAMS JUNE 20, 2008 BROADCAST

Open http://www.sitchin.com/elephant.htm in a new window.

image of elephant taken from aol.com

Wendy has a laugh that is sometimes forced….sound of happiness?  Sound of pre-tend fun?  Sound of real enjoyment when you are tickeled pink by a “funny”.  I am not sure.  Sometimes it sounds that she is laughing at herself.  That is okay…I do that sometimes too.

Yesterday Wendy and Charlemane sat on the radio and talked about her up coming show and going to LA to get ready for her show on July 14, 2008.  Wendy talked about people going into her office (PINK ROOM) her frig and taking bottles of  her  LIQUOR.

She discussed putting locks on the frig…Charlmane told how he sits quietly in the morning and people come in and take things.  They made references to the cleaning lady  and their security guards which created the ELEPHANT INTHE ROOM syndrome and huge laughter erupted and they giggled toward the end of the show.  Charlemane even made reference to SUPERMAN RAPPER…and IceTea issues and then they went off air at 7:00.

So Wendy is still here folks….making jokes about the Elephant in the room.  Wendy has made statements that she has suffered for trying to have a family like atmosphere with her staff.

She vowed to never have a closeknit group of interns and staff ever again on Thursday…

She made reference to her having a pole up her you know what because of her being SO GIVING and understanding of her work staff.

She said she wants to keep everyone working for her on a formal basis and never again allow anyone to get that close to her.

I listened and wondered, how many of us on regular jobs have allowed people to come home with us….only to find out that our private lives become public when that co-worker gets back to work.

Every smiling face HAS TEETH…PEOPLE!

I could relate very well to that view on life.  Some people might say that is being very negative….

I reserve the right to choose my friends.

Just because you work with someone and have a close working relationship does not mean that you should bring these people into your personal lives…

There is no  contract available that will prevent someone from making your personal private business public.

Hey,  even the pastor of my church told me (when I explained that I am so tired and unable to function on the level of cleaning in my house) …..

…..”IF YOU DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR ….NO  ONE  WILL COME IN….DO NOT INVITE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE…AND YOU CLEAN HOUSE WHEN YOU ARE READY….JUST DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR!…..

I laughted a hearty laugh when the pastor said that to me….because I knew exactly what he meant.  So I hope Wendy Williams learns that same thing.

Your private business is just that….PRIVATE….Keep your marriage, children,  hurts, shames,  angers, illnesses,  financial problems to yourself and you may find that you will not get so many hard stares…

And definitely do not allow co-workers to visit your home to see you argue or fuss with your mate, and  children.  Everybody has eyes, ears, mouth and a nose.

Learn from Wendy to protect your privacy and  your family as well. kEEP THAT elephant out of your house too.

Tell people of your victories…but not of every defeat…..they don’t care….they just want to have something to gossip about.

Well,   Till next blog…..

She’s Back! Wendy Williams of the Wendy Williams Experience- DA DA DA DAAAAA! The Queen of All Media! Sounds Positive and Strong

Today while driving and thinking on my own personal issues I switched from  Hot 97 for HIP/HOP music and checked in on Wendy!  Well,  despite the issues of the Nicole Spence complaint Wendy is still on the air.

She sounds like herself, and she and Charlemagne are Yuck, yuck,  yucking it Up!  Talking about advice hour, and Wendy answering her own telephones.

It seemed almost like nothing negative had ever been talked about on Hot 97 from jealous Ms. Jones.  It seemed like the shocking news had never been.  And I wished it were true.  But through it all Wendy has stood tall.

The first few days she appeared stressed and let her listening audience know it.  She really does talk to her audience.  Yesterday Wendy stated,  “I don’t trust people!”  I silently agreed with her in my head for my own reasons.

I hope that she deals honestly with her situation.  You know….she is like the “friend in  my head” radio personality.  Although I would probably never tell anybody some of the things she has been known to say or discuss.

Wendy would ask the questions I would never ask.   Some or many of  Wendy ‘s  opinions I do not agree with but are food for thought on alot of levels.  You can learn from just about any body.   But anyway,  I digress….So Wendy and Charlemagne sounded like their old selves today.

Thank G-d for second,  third, and fourth chances….uh….Howard Stern……uh….Don Imus….uh Shock Jock that harressed Hot 97 side kick of Ms. Jones in the morning….(what is that guy’s name anywhooo?)

Think about it fellow bloggers….

Till next time

UNIVERSE AND WEAVE IN HARMONY

UNIVERSE AND WEAVE IN HARMONY

I truly enjoyed this movie.  The black women actresses were fantastic.  None of the Ghetto Mama Drama of which I have grown extremely tired of.

I do not know why some movie directors, and HollyWood think that all I want to see is some woman with 10 kids, living in a drug infested neighborhood dodging bullets!

I was not raised in a apartment…..I grew up in a house, and conversations and arguements and issues arose and were addressed.

I loved Janet Jackson’s very simplistic way of  acting.  She played her role, and  allowed herself to listen to her co-actors.

She was great, and was very convincing.  I kept thinking….why hasn’t Janet Jackson done more acting?   I could see her in a docudrama about history, or a biography of some famous black person.

Come on Janet…..you are more mature as a actress….step it up and move into the roles you deserve!  I wish for Janet all the best!

The actress,  who played the wife of the X-foot ball player(Tasha Smith)….was excellent.  I believe that she also played in T-I’s movie about Atlanta.  Great comedy timing!  She was a sleuth from the West Side!

Funny lady!  She watched everthing and caught it all!  No body could say anything when she was done with them.  She even stood down two men and a tiny dog—-a little ghetto in delivery….but still clear, concise and exact on her reactions to her co-actors.  Great….I really think that she carried her cast with that comedy.  Although it was a type of “black” comedy….it was still great!

The  overweight black actress(Jill Scott), was great.  She approached her role in a timid way.  She was a sleeping giant. But her issue is too well known by heavy women throughout the world.  Phsyical Health and Mental health in the sense of selfesteem). She was able to translate her pain into  humble glances and low voice tones.  I am a big girl…so I could relate to much of her feeling…..but she did always try to aim high and hope for the best….even if it was not the best for herself.

The young lawyer who was striving for success was clear and clean in her delivery also. She just seemed clueless as to the problems that her desire to MAKE IT were causing her family.  The actress was also quite convincing in her rejection of her “husband.”  Very good eye contact and  listening to her co-actors and her facial responses were appropriate.  Great black female actresses.

Keep up the great work.

Details that I remember and love from that Movie!  Tyler Perry you are the greatest!

Follow the list and then go out and get the movie!

  • The X-football player and his wife.
  • The wife (Tasha Smith)   of the X-foot ball player carried the movie with her over the top rants about everthing!
  • Tyler Perry near love scene in bed with his wife(Sharon Leal)—-   convincing look of a man in love—Wonderful!
  • The over weight wife and her cold hearted in your face husband and his cheating evil ways.
  • The handsome Sherrif and his compassionate understanding of a big girl and her need to be accepted as a person….
  • The cute way the overweight rejected wife gave the Sherrif the once over with her eyes….realizing  how handsome he was and her attraction to him while working at the “general store.”
  • The emotional scene that Janet Jackson played in coping with the loss of her  child from a car accident. ( That scene so real….Janet said…No more lies!–It almost seemed that she was talking from experience.)
  • The men talking and bonding scene in which they discuss marriage,  and condom usage….or the lack thereof.
  • The scene when the X-football player and his wife got into a “choke hold over V.D. issues at the dinner table.”
  • The over weightwife coming to realize that her husband was cheating in front of her very eyes and the wine bottle clunk that followed!
  • Tyler Perry totally convinced me that he never ever had that Medea character in him at all!—-TYLER PERRY IS BETTER THAN SO MANY OTHER MEN THAT PLAY THE ROLE OF A WOMAN AND THEN STEP BACK INTO THE ROLE OF A MAN!  —HE WAS CONTROLED AND INTELLIGENT!
  • GIVE TYLER PERRY AN OSCAR FOR HIS WRITING
  • GIVE TYLER PERRY AN OSCAR FOR HIS CONCEPTS
  • GIVE TYLER PERRY AN OSCAR  FOR HIS INTELLIGENT APPROACH TO ALL OF HIS PLAYS, SHOWS AND MOVIES!

Calypso the Love of Davy Jones: Pirates of the Caribbean – AT WORLD’S END—UNIQUE LOVE STORY*** IN A DISNEY MOVIE***! WOW!!!

JEWELZ HAND.jpg

Okay, my friends, time for more of my discussion of my love of one of my most favorite trilogies….Pirates of the Caribbean.

Today I want to discuss Tia Dalma a.k.a. Calypso the goddess of the Sea.  She has unqiue features like  black lips,  black paint under her  eyes, and dreadlocks.

She has been visited by Jack Sparrow and company,  i.e. Will Turner,  Elizabeth and some of the crew members,  and then again by Will Turner after Jack Sparrow was taken to Davy Jones Locker by the Kracken.  Tia Dalma was always willing to help them.

She lives in the  deep forest  in the West Indies (Caribbean) surrounded by faceless  forest people.  She has a hut that has strange and odd looking jars filled with eyeballs and what not….But you can’t seem   to   be truly afraid of her.

You kind of like her.  She is not really happy,  but not really angry either.  You find that she is willing to help those around her. She has strong views and concepts and seems to see the future of the key players in the movie.  She constantly warns Will Turner of his “Touch of Destiny!”

Did you even think that Davy Jones could love anybody?  Certainly not the OBIA (witchcraft)  woman!

I was surprised that  the young actress that portrayed the fabulous,  loving, changing,  angry  Tia Dalma turned out to be the only one true weakness of Davy the Squid Head Jones!

Diadalma even said it herself,  “There is an evil on the seas that even the staunchess pirates fear!”

But when Tia  Dalama spoke directly to Davy Jones before she was released from her intombed body space,  she told him” You have corrupted your purpose.”

Davy Jones had taken to the seas in fearce angry retribution on the sailors and their boats.  Davy Jones unleash the Kracken on “innocent ships and sailors, or pirates”  then he  would ask people if they feared death.

He would enlist or force them into servitude to the Fying Dutchman if they feared death.  Little did the unsuspecting dying sailors know….but they would soon be in a worse condition than if they had dyed at sea.

Tia Dalma was to  blame,  (in Davy Jones mind) for his change of heart.  Davy Jones job was to ferry the dead to the other side,  and then come to land every ten years.

Because Davy Jones loved Tia  Dalma a.k.a.  Calypso, he became angry when she did not show up for their meeting after his ten years at sea.  His feelings  and heart hurt so much that he wanted to end the pain.

He then cut out his heart,  and thus you know how that all went.  Dispite the scary appearance of Davy Jones,  I felt a slight pang  of compassion for this sailor turned monster at sea whenever he sat at his “church” organ to play himself to sleep, or soothe his mind.

Even though  he placed his heart in a box,  he could not run from his anger an all of his fears.

When the Flying Dutchman and the Black Pearl were soaring through the rough waters of the malstrom and shooting and fighting one another….Davy Jones was fighting with Will Turner’s  father and then he knocked him to the floor and told him,”You will not forestall my judgement!”

At first hearing this I had thought that he meant that he was going to  finish off the”whelp”  Will Turner junior…..but on seeing it again….I have wondereed if Davy Jones was seeking freedom from his life as the tenatcled sea monster pirate?

Was he hoping that Will Turner would take over the job….instead?  So  I believe that he was referring to that…..well any way …only the director and writer truly know what that  statement.

All I know is that when Davy Jones visited Tia Dalma  he told her that his heart would always belong to her.

He loved ocean,  the wind, and the life on and in the ocean.    She smiled and he walked out of her holding room on board the Black Pearl.

I was happy to see a black woman cast in that role.  I had grown to like her thick West Indian accent,  and her all knowing personality.

But when she turned around and responded to Will Turner’s  question…”Who told the Brethern Court how to  bind you?!!!   Tia Dalma grew so big that she was as tall as the mast on the ship.  She yelled,  “Say it!  Say it!”  And with that Will Turner yelled Davy Jones and she ballooned up to an unbelieveable size!

She began shaking her head and saying things in a garbled way and kind of exploded into the same white crabs that helped to pull the black pearl from the depths of  Davy Jones locker.

What a sight!  When all of the crabs fell over the ships edge (the Black Pearl)  everybody said…”Is that all?”  Suddenly the wind began to blow and the malstrom kicked up.

I thought this was wonderful and powerful portrayal of nature fighting back against the rules and establishment!!

It was so strange to see Davy Jones look of renewed faith….and even when his heart was stabbed….a  look of peace as he fell off of the Flying Dutchman to his final resting place with Tia Dalma!

I really loved the music that portrayed the tender love that had gone wrong between Davy Jones and Tia Dalma a.k.a Calypso.

Now a new story must be told about Will Turner… the hope of the dead who must still be carried to the after life…, and Elizabeth his chillhood love turned  “Pirate King” during the Brethen court meeting.

What a wonderful pirate, action adventure and double love story!

Stay tuned for more discussion on the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy!

Next Time Captain Barbossa,  Singapore, and more!!!!!!
